A product built on other people’s evidence.
LabTested exists because the most useful thing a brand can say about its product is usually locked inside a PDF nobody reads. We do not add a claim. We make the one that already exists legible.
LabTested is a software platform that takes the certificate of analysis a brand’s laboratory already issued and publishes it as a clear, batch-level product record: on the brand’s own product page, behind a QR code on the label, and in a public catalog anyone can search.
The proof was already paid for.
Brands that care about quality already spend real money on third-party testing. Then the results go into a PDF, the PDF goes into a folder, and the shopper standing on the product page sees the same unverifiable adjectives as everyone else. The evidence exists. It just never reaches the moment where it would change a decision.
Hosted transparency tools existed, but they were priced for large brands and built as closed widgets: you paid a monthly fee per brand, and the results lived on someone else’s terms. LabTested was built to make publishing a certificate of analysis cheap enough that a small brand with one good product can do it on day one, on a free plan, without switching labs.
The design constraint that follows from that is strict: LabTested has to be worth trusting without asking anyone to trust LabTested. So the platform never grades a product, never issues a seal, and never edits a published value. It shows the lab’s numbers, the limit they are being read against, the lot they belong to, a content fingerprint of the exact file on record, and a link to that original document. Anyone can check the work.
